College Students and Higher Educational Professionals

Colleges and university settings bring their own unique challenges to mental health. For 11 years, I worked in University Mental Health, and served as the Director of a University-based Counseling Center. My work allowed me to specifically focus on treating college and graduate students, as well as collaborating with faculty members and administrators across campus. I also held faculty-status and taught several courses. Whether you are a student struggling with anxiety or a traumatic experience, a higher education professional struggling with workplace issues or burnout, or if you are seeking other support, Landmark Counseling is here to journey alongside you.

Being a student at a university is a unique experience. Increasing responsibilities are piled on, hard transitions from home and living with parents into college life can occur, big questions about “what’s next” loom, and it can be difficult to navigate uncertainty and anxiety.

For university employees, life doesn’t stop and all the “normal life” problems exist on top of the difficulties that can come from working within the political system and culture of the University.
